Osteomalitis afflicted her as a child, requiring many operations. Was in a brace from 1929-1932. One leg was shorter than the other.

EVELYN DIANA CATHERINE GEORGE Diana George, aged 82 years, passed away suddenly at Birch Lodge, Hamiota, Man. on September 12, 2000. Diana was born in Gulu, Uganda, January 31, 1918 while her father served as a Medical Doctor. In 1939 she was briefly married to Rollie Richardson and had a daughter Sheila. During the war she met and married Orville George, a Canadian soldier serving over seas. They returned to Canada in 1946 and settled in Neepawa, Man. until 1961 when the family moved to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Orville in September, 1984. Diana leaves to mourn her daughters, Sheila (Tony) Courtauld of Essex, England, Bobbi (Dick) Prawdzik of Hamiota, Man., Judy (Dave) Bretz of Calgary, AB, Jennie (Terry) McDowell of Winnipeg, Man., Laurie (Mike) Sosnowski of Calgary, AB and eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held September 19 at Christ Anglican Church, Hamiota, Man. with Rev. Paul Curtis officiating.
