William George Senior's Will

 

The last Will and Testament of William Rush George (1822-1909)

This is the last will and testament of me William George Senior of the Township of Haldimand in the County of Northumberland, Farmer, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. I hereby nominate, constitute, and appoint my sons Thomas George and my son William George executors to this my last will and testament.

I give, devise, and bequeath to my son William George lot number nineteen in the tenth concession of the Township of Haldimand in the Province of Ontario together with all my personal property of what nature of kind soever.

I will and direct that my son William George pay my daughter Mary Jane the sum of five hundred dollars as follows, one hundred in one year from the date of my decease and the remainder one hundred dollars annually until the whole of said five hundred dollars are fully paid: In case my daughter Mary Jane die before she obtain her legacy I will and direct that her share be equally divided amongst her then living children.

I will and direct that my executors pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and a tombstone at my grave worth 50 dollars.

I will and direct that my son William George pay my son Thomas George the sum of one dollar within the space of one year from the date of my decease.
